    Fiesta Texas chooses the Roller Coaster Corporation of Texas as the design/build contractor for its wooden roller coaster.

  • November 8, 1990
    Roller Coaster Corporation of Texas proposes changes to the design plans for the Rattler in response to the construction of Mean Streak at Cedar Point Park in Sandusky, Ohio.

  • February 18, 1992

    Roller Coaster Corporation of America proposes design changes for the Rattler.

  • March 25, 1992
    Morgan Manufacturing responds to the decision to open the Rattler before adequate testing of the ride: "The risks being taken by eliminating the testing phase are not worth the potential short term rewards."

  • April 23, 1992
    Roller Coaster Corporation of Texas summarizes the effects which resulted from the modifications made to the Rattler.

  • November 5, 1992
    Park reports and analysis of injuries sustained by riders while riding the Rattler.


    By 1998, it was reported that over 250 personal injury claims had been settled for nearly $16 million.
