As we polled the data we thought we saw some interesting correlations so we included some of our observations, which are on the first two sheets. I hope you find this information useful. Hoover Operations Manager LOCATION OF INJURY 51.4% 1ST DROP 8% FAN CURVE 7% Q-LINE, STATION, EXIT, TRANSFERABLE 2% TUNNEL 1-2% HELIX 28% - Cannot recall where, but because of similarities in nature with other reported injuries one can assume they occurred on 1st drop or fan curve. BREAKDOWN OF INJURY TYPE ON FIRST DROP - Of those 51% of total injuries that occurred on 1st drop: 31% NECK 20.9% BACK 6.8% NECK/BACK 36% HEAD (bloody nose, knot on head, mouth injury) 7% OTHER * Things that stood out: Majority of neck and back injuries happened to women who experienced pain to the right side of neck or back. * Also, injuries might be further pin pointed to curve after 1st drop and lift to fan curve. * Head and face injuries: Cuts on noses, people wearing glasses trying to slide them back on during ride. Women/ children (9-12 yrs.) trying to duck in seat and/or hide.
